So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

And that seems to be their only consideration. It seems wrong to waste water when I know women and children in other countries hike for miles to get water--dirty water that makes them sick and kills thousands of children a day. Maybe it's not so trivial after all.

So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

Here's a new one for the thread: one of my neighbors is in the shower for 45 minutes at a time. I don't pay the water bill directly but I know the management company has been trying to get us to save water. But people don't and it's one of the reasons rent keeps going up. More than that, I...

    What's for Dinner?

Fried green tomatoes--I thought I'd had them, but when I thought about it, it was fried pickles. No matter; if it's fried, I'll probably eat it. What's a field pea? I mean, are they still in the pod?

    What's for Dinner?

Veggie sammich at Charley's with fries. That was hours ago, so I just had dinner #2: chili

That's how we were. I would ride my bike literally all day sometimes. We explored, too--just had to steer clear of mountain lions and rattlesnakes.

    That dinner is so....Wisconsin. :)

    What's for Dinner?

I think that is typically Belgian. That cuisine has been handed down from the Middle Ages from what I know, and it was common to serve meats and fruits together in that time period, even putting them in the same dish. I guess the American version is sweet ketchup on the meatloaf?

    What's for Dinner?

I usually cook up lentils and make a filling, but this was so easy. I simply mixed a can of chili with pre-cubed cheese (it's cheaper than the shredded cheeses because it's scraps from a dairy--cubing must be easier for them). I stuff the peppers and cook them in a crockpot on high for 4...

    What's for Dinner?

On my third. They're small, like 4 would be a serving of yogurt.

    What's for Dinner?

Heavy on the protein tonight to make up for the last few days: piece of chik'n parm; "steak and eggs" (veggie burger patty + 2 fried eggs); 2 wild blueberry cheesecake popsicles (sugar-free, of course). I wanted salad also, but it needs to be prepped. That'll happen tomorrow.

So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

Here's one: when people ask about my coworker's service dog. I just tell them it's an employee's service dog and then they want to know who. How about It's none of your business? Maybe he doesn't want to broadcast his medical information to the world. Also, people think it's someone's pet...

New England has some good food in it's own right. If I ever go back to eating animals, some kind of chowder will be the first thing I go for.

    What's for Dinner?

Total splurge: cheese fries from Charlie's. It was a hard night and I needed some fried starch. My tummy is not thanking me for that.

    What's For Breakfast...

So far a double-shot latte with dark chocolate in it--my usual. I don't think I'm hungry enough for anything else. I'll probably wait to eat until just before work, since I won't get a break tonight.

It makes you stand out, and that's not a bad thing.

I think those pre-fabricated shells are ridiculous. I much prefer when they fry a tortilla at the restaurant. But I'm not going to get that at Taco Bell and such.

There is a place down the street from me that does it right: scooped ice cream blended into a little milk. You get the glassful plus the blending container. It's two servings, really. I get the malted. It's the only time I let myself have ice cream anymore, and I make it count by going...

    What's for Dinner?

Meat (when I still ate it) and fat have never given me issues unless combined with the flour. And my blood pressure tends to run low, so sodium isn't the worst thing.
