    What's For Breakfast...

That's why I make my own and take it with me. It's less expensive and frankly, better than Starbuck's. I only ever go there out of convenience, usually 2 or 3 times during the holidays when I'm chronically sleep-deprived (I work retail). I do see people with bottles of water frequently. I...

Me, too. I was thinking of autumn yesterday. But I'm not in a huge hurry because after that comes winter, which is awful here.

    What's For Breakfast...

I've been moderated on the carbs for a year and it fixed my blood sugar. Now I'm trying to go lower because I have 20 more lbs to lose and I'm at risk for diabetes. I miss donuts.

Thanks, jake. It was pretty well under control last night and will be ok tonight. It's a different story upon waking. I am so confused by coffeehouse nomenclature. I've been known to say "..your smallest size" and let the person behind the counter name it. Or I will admit I don't know...

dh, that sky tells the story. My mom's family is from the south and I know alllll about heat/humidity. Plus, the midwest gets it too. But it was a lovely day here today. I feel for the gents because a dress or skirt is so much more comfortable sometimes.

I often can't sleep because of pain no matter what time I go to bed. I'm one of those who needs a double shot every morning. But the rest of the day I drink it for taste and it's decaf. I like 12-ounce latte.

I had a chocolate malt Sunday night and almost regretted it. My system doesn't like sweets, but I let myself have something like that once a month or so.

Here's annoying: People who treat their apartment like a frat house. Some of us do have to work in the morning. I have no qualms about calling the authorities. I've lived here 8 years and have probably called at least 15 times. As the kids say, I ain't playin'.

Veggie cheeseburger on buttered bun and salad with homemade blue cheese dressing, iced tea. Dessert is a possibility, maybe peanut butter cookies.

I grew up with central air running 24 hours a day in summer. I was in the desert. No AC and you might get heatstroke. Now I have a wall unit in the living room, so the bedroom gets too warm. I need to get a tower fan for the hallway.

My dentists are great. It's a family practice and I've had both the brothers, one of the wives, the dad, and several techs in my mouth. They are all compassionate and make sure I'm comfortable. The funniest story was when they thought they were done with my root canal and then one said, "Hang...

Everyday Women of the Golden Era

It's nice to know that when I'm too lazy to do a set or finger waves, I can still brush it into a bun and call it vintage. :) I love the cloche hats. I would wear them but hats are so uncomfortable to me.
