    White RAF Roll Neck Sweaters

I have had a succession of Submariner ecru sweaters since my teenaged years. One of them had belonged to a Submariner and even when washed smelled of pipe tobacco and stale farts. My present one was supplied by Silverman’s. I also have the Navy roll neck Woolly Pully supplied by Outdoor...

I’ve also been wearing multiple WPs over the past few days: Navy with shoulder straps and pen pocket over the weekend, Black with shoulder straps and pen pocket at work today and this evening ‘standard’ Navy without shoulder straps (just elbow and shoulder patches).

    White RAF Roll Neck Sweaters

I meant to reply to this a while back. I have the RN Submariner already although it was supplied by Silverman's. I am interested by the Comforts and also very much by the Paratroopers Heavy Duty Roll Neck because I have a large collection of sweaters with militarist associations and am always...

    Guernsey jumper

guernsey-breton-sweater I am quite tempted by the above Guernsey in Breton style from Peter Christian - although I already have a ridiculous number of Guernseys.

It has been a great relief to have the cooler weather. September was great with sunny days and cool nights/mornings. It's wetter now but still lots of opportunities for wearing WPs: I have been wearing mainly Army and Navy so far (RAF once or twice!). Navy crew neck this Monday morning as well.

The turn back cuffs are one of the best features of the WP, both from a style point of view and because of their versatility.

I agree. It is hotter than New Delhi in London today. Tomorrow ‘normal’ late July weather returns but I can’t wait for autumn!

That's a very good question. I really like the feel of the 1945 cuff and the hardness of the yarn: it's different from the more familiar WP and so makes a change. I also like the historical associations, reproduced quite faithfully by OKW (I'm still waiting for that commission from them!)...
