I’m interested to know where these terms are found within ‘quarter tags’. Are they associated with only the oldest colleges or Ivy League schools? Or is it more random rhan that?

    Military 'woolly pully' sweaters

I have used OKW’s recent offer to order an experimental WP in Dark Grey Mix which I have seen aimed at the Japanese market. It has elbow patches but no shoulder patches. It will be interesting to see what it’s like.

    Military 'woolly pully' sweaters

I'm wondering where you are at the moment Steve. Certainly not in London, because it's been so hot for the last 10 days or so that I've only been able to wear a Woolly Pully occasionally in the late evening or early morning. And that's only on a few days. I'm starting to get withdrawal symptoms...

There was a strange mystery this morning. I got an email notification that 'Petersog' (yes that is the correct spelling) had replied to this thread. When I logged on, there was no message and - it seems - no member with this name. Very mysterious: the (woolly) ghost in the machine?

I have always had a certain degree of envy for older men in the UK who have told me about their National Service days. Slightly going off on a tangent: I should know this, having so many American friends and colleagues, but at college (university level), what names do you have for your semesters? We call semesters ‘terms’ and generally have three in the year. I went to one of the older British universities as an...

It’s actually been a good few days for Woolly Pullies: wore Army all day yesterday and it’s the turn of Royal Navy today. Absolutely perfect.

    Hello From Melbourne, Australia

Welcome. I was born in Melbourne because my father worked there in the 1960s. I haven't been back since 1972 and sometime I would like to see for myself how it has changed since then.

Yes, I've come across that as well. I shall hold off until OKW show us their design for the WW2 Commando Sweater.
