I've always thought the Red Wing has the soles of the Beckmans & the Iron Rangers switched. Seems to me, the lugged soles go more with the cap toe of the IR & the sole of the IR goes better with cleaner look of the Beckmans. JMHO but if the Beckmans had the same sole as the IR, I've bought them...
I say follow thru with the Sheen purchase, send the fit jacket back. You can then see how much your CR gets used once the Sheen arrives then sell it if you don't use it & have the BR to get with any changes to the back & yoke....JMHO.
I don't do much with concho bands but do put leather hatbands on some of my non-western lids, brims under 3".
It seems to be more of the outback look to me...
I have a beaver/rabbit blend custom from Weather Hat Company that is a Winchester body.
The beaver fur fibers have more "barbs" than rabbit & will felt tighter when mixed in with the bunny ones.
The blend feels more dense than just solo rabbit but not as nice as 100% beaver.
Lot has to do with...
Good things of my 70's were Boston, Kansas, Journey, Blue Oyster Cult, REO Speedwagon, Mott the Hoople, Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes, Steve Miller Band, Marshall Tucker, Charlie Daniels Band, Lynyrd Snynyrd, Allman Bros, Molly Hatchet, etc.
My niece asked for a pair for Christmas except green bottoms.
I've had Maine Hunting Shoe for years....same for my Converse Chuck Taylors....I am so stylish....
I'd like to try the Pro 30X to see how the beaver fur blend is done by Akubra. They make a good using hat without the beaver, so with should be interesting.
Dusters are a good look but I prefer a shorter coat if I'm not in the saddle for foul weather.
These are more practical to me & may get you by the overcoat mafia look = http://www.amazon.com/Outback-Trading-Short-Oilskin-Duster/dp/B00DYW6RTE
