    How do folks react to your hat wearing?

    College buddy was at Gwinnett Arena for Eric Church with Dwight Yoakum. Wish I could've made that one, really like that venue & not too far from the ranch.

    Best Straw hat maker for Western/ Cowboy styles?

    Seen straw blanks at Shorty's in OKC & Best Hats in Fort Worth. Not sure what brim widths they offer. I think they both carried American Hat Company straw blanks. http://shortyshattery.com/ http://www.besthatstore.com/ BTW, I like my Atwood Palm over Sunbody.

    Reshaping a wool Fedora

    NEVER use steam on wool like you would fur felt! Think wool sweater = always wash in COLD water. Wet the wool with room temp, distilled water in a sprayer. That's how I reshape woolies...stretching included. Hat bands can shrink & tighten hats too....

    The Stratoliner Appreciation Club {MODERN}

    I have a Premiere Stratoliner in mink & a regular one in caribou. The Premiere is not as coarse & has a much nicer hand to it which is more likely due to extra pouncing. The felt is denser which has more heft to it in the Premiere. The felt shapes so much better too, brim & crown.

    Reshaping a wool Fedora

    Sweatband contraction is usually the culprit of "tighter" fitting hats. When you sweat, the sweatband absorbs it & then when it dries, the oils of the leather go with the evaporating water & the cells of the leather collapse. Conditioners replace those oils & a hat-jack can get your size back. HTH

    Biker jacket

    I am no more a biker because I own & ride a motorcycle any more than I am a cowboy because I own & ride a horse. I know bikers & cowboys. Their jobs & lives revolve around motorcycles & horses/cattle. It is a lifestyle but can't be purchased at store or dealership though their clothes & rigs...

    I have 1 classic biker styled jacket but never wear it on the bike, that dang belt will scratch my tank's paint. I have & wear cafe racer styled jackets, vintage & modern. Newest is Vanson Enfield in comp cowhide. I get a kick out of the riders with the HD logo'ed everything. Sure, I have...
