depends on where you want to wear them If you want them for dress wear that doesn't involve too much walking, the famous Stockman range are regarded as classics, but for general getting about probably better to stick with a Craftsman, there are two things to consider for an American though 1...- dr greg

woof yeah I suppose they do smell a bit, but the heavy weave definitely makes them waterproof, discomfort is relative I suppose, a plastic bag would be atrocious to work in, but I've seen it done.- dr greg

spud bag When I was a kid we used to make raincoats out of spud bags by pushing one corner into the other to make a sort of monk's cowl lookin thing, very effective, I still do it now when I have to do heavy work in the rain on the farm and would sweat too much in a Drizabone.- dr greg

liable to label Is it a green label? I've got a white label. I wear fedoras and Hawaiian shirts ALL THE TIME, so I have to colour coordinate the hats occcasionally -
