An interesting cuff - thanks for sharing. Is it comfortable to wear? I find myself drawn to work of good weight but it's the lighter pieces that I wear most often.
3 ply ribbon was a finish used on this grade/style/period of No.1 Quality. I've owned a few - nice hats. This one was sold in the classifieds a few years back.
Nice embellishment for the antique hat Ross. Was it sold as a work by Roger Skeet Jr? Senior did not mark his pieces to my knowledge. There are quite a few silversmiths who stamped an RS hallmark. Skeet Jr. was among them (also used his full name) - known for concho belts with quality stamp work.
Certainly... rondel was a word of choice used often by our much missed former member Brad Bowers in connection with Dobbs branding. I'm sure you've visited this thread but just to keep it alive in the minds of newer members:
