What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

One of the first western hats I purchased... from Zetwal, a former Lounge member. Wears a little like the hat Ed Harris wore through three seasons of Westworld, with a few added wrinkles.

An interesting cuff - thanks for sharing. Is it comfortable to wear? I find myself drawn to work of good weight but it's the lighter pieces that I wear most often.

    Pre 1940s Stetson Westerns

3 ply ribbon was a finish used on this grade/style/period of No.1 Quality. I've owned a few - nice hats. This one was sold in the classifieds a few years back.

Nice embellishment for the antique hat Ross. Was it sold as a work by Roger Skeet Jr? Senior did not mark his pieces to my knowledge. There are quite a few silversmiths who stamped an RS hallmark. Skeet Jr. was among them (also used his full name) - known for concho belts with quality stamp work.

Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

Certainly... rondel was a word of choice used often by our much missed former member Brad Bowers in connection with Dobbs branding. I'm sure you've visited this thread but just to keep it alive in the minds of newer members: https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/stetson-crest-dating.40021/...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Hi Bowen...Thanks for the comments and the nice idea. I have done a few comparisons on the "side by side" thread over the years but a survey of Nuts might be a good one. I've sold a few but I still have a bunch. All the best, Alan

Hello all... yesterday I installed an SSL cert on my vintage website in an attempt to improve the Google Chrome handling of linked image files (they were being suppressed, I think, for not having an https prefix). If you have had trouble accessing my linked images, please let me know if this has...

Closer to the right hand image but later version with maple leaf. The rondel on the left is the one to bid high, in my book anyway.
