A few photos to compare and contrast the weave characteristics of different types of straw hats. Posted here instead of the Side By Side thread in hopes that it might help you to identify some straw puzzlers of your own.
First a parabuntal straw in a finely woven and very light hat. I purchased...
Same here... I’ve only seen this silk brim wrapping on formal hats. A dandy special? Many of the hats from this store which closed prior to WWI had much moth damage and soiling. This one is virtually intact.
By definition of its sweatband imprint, this one fits better here than anywhere else on the Lounge. Made in the first decade of the 20th century, stock from a long gone Cheyenne, Wyo store. Sunday hat, perhaps?... with silk wrapped underbrim and fancy silk ribbon with tassel. The quality of the...
Not sure this fits the bill... the Lounge member I purchased it from said he had a second just like it. Art made some very nice modern homages as well. But here you go - Dunlap duplex, c.1940 with "sizor" adjustable sweatband feature as advertised in the 1938 ad below.

I seem to be reaching often for this ventilated Playboy Air-Light... a recent acquisition shared with me by my good friend Anthony Amodeo. Late 1930s - 1940.
Two wonderful finds, Daniele. Is it possible to find a manufacturing label in the Fléchet? I've always had some doubt about the age of the NOS velour hats RLK purchased years ago (I have one) and never noticed the award years imprinted on the crown liner, which is the same as yours.
