    Depp's Public Enemies windowpane coat

If it would have been larger, say a 44R, then it would have gone for more money.

    Finally, a 1930s overcoat !

More photos - it's definitely a late 1930s coat because I was able to confirm that it indeed had a tag that has a 1939 date. however, I don't think it has cuffs - someone appeared to have cut off the buttons and folded the sleeve back as the arms are super long - the lining goes...

    Finally, a 1930s overcoat !

I've been addicted to vintage overcoats for awhile and have accumulated a late 1940s OC and an early 1950s OC before finally pulling the trigger on this 1930s made one today. It was pricey but hopefully it will stop this ridiculous obsession with these things. It was made by M. Rock of 460...

    Public Enemies

I liked it in the theater but I like it more on Blue Ray at home. It's clearer than in the theater (not as dark) and I can actually hear what people are saying. John

    Public Enemies

Tucson has a little celebration down around the Hotel Congress called "Dillinger Days" that they hold every January celebrating Johnnie's capture. People bring their old cars and get dressed up for it. Looks like fun. One of these days I'll make it there. John

What Was The Last Movie You Watched?

"To Have and Have Not" (1944) - Bogart and Bacall - Bacall's first movie (she was just 19) and the start of their romance - the reason my daughter's name is Lauren - with Walter Brennan and Hoagie Carmichel - great entertainment. John

Rara Avis - What rare WWII aircraft would you like to see flying?

I've always admired and would like to see fly again in person these Italian Macchi Racing Seaplanes from the 1920s and 1930s.

Based on that definition, this is not a polo coat as it is made of wool and cashmere. So then, what is it?

    What's your alltime favorite movie?

Favorite actor and actress are William Powell and Myrna Loy as Nick and Nora Charles in the Thin Man movies (Nathan called it right). They always make me smile no matter what type of day I am having. I wish I had as much style as William Powell and I have a crush on Myrna Loy. Next on the...

I just won this late last night - the photos are from the auction - the color is the darker blue. I've been wanting an older over coat for some time but they seem to go for alot, I got this one for less than alot, It's supposed to be 1940s - based on these superficial photos, is this about...

    Show us your Guns!

Just messing around with an artsy-fartsy ode to motorized bandits circa 1933-1934. Modified 1907 .351 Winchester, lots of factory 10-round mags, and pre-war Commercial 1911 with various accoutrements:

Dillinger Gang Lebman 1907 Winchester finally done!! Well it's been darn-near 8 months since I thought of it and decided that I wanted one but it's done. My replica of the Winchester 1907 rifles that were prepared by Hyman Lebman of San Antonio for the Dillinger Gang in 1933-1934 (except not...

Smoking a cigarette like a cigar - no inhaling?

Well, I had another English Oval seasoned in the humidor and, again, it was really tasty. I feel a little weird smoking cigarettes this way as if I am "play acting" like a first time smoker out behind the shed with dad's Camels. However, sometimes I feel like a smoke and don't have a half-hour...
