That's a great story! I have an original Springfield sniper rifle from WWII and with that tiny scope it's really difficult to hit anything out past 200 yards. This guy apparently was a gifted marksman and thank God he was.
Myrna Loy - and if I could find a photo of her from "Libeled Lady" where she is sitting on a couch talking to Spencer Tracy then I'd die a happy man - beautiful and smart.
As for the guy, I'd have to say William Powell - not classically good looking but any guy who could get Carol Lombard and...
Looking off in the distance, I can see summer looming and I'd like to buy a lighter felt vintage hat. I already have some straws but would like to wear vintage felt once in a while even with the higher temperatures. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I managed to hang with the big boys on this one for a while but lost out in the end. Beautiful hat - I should sold a kidney or something - this one will haunt me.

The original "Alien" movie scared the crackers out of me way back when (1979?). Then I took a date to see it; she hadn't had the pleasure and told me the entire drive over that so-called scary movies never scare her. She was almost sitting in my lap after a short while into it. It scared her...

Sleeper - made me laugh so hard that the girl I was with - an absolutely gorgeous blonde who finally said yes to my invite - never went out with me again. At least that's what I'm saying was the problem; not my personality and weird hair. I laughed...
My latest - Key wound - I haven't done much research yet but possibly a Swiss watch sold through London dealer mid-late 1800s - Arnold Adams & Co.

Bowlerman.
That's a beautiful hat and with the family connections it is very special indeed. It's curious to me that it has both 3X Beaver quality and Stetson Fifteen on it? Wear it with pride!

I didn't really require the Baracuta tag on my Harrington jacket but I wanted it to be tan. I found one of the licensed Van Heusen Baracutas for about 1/5 what the real ones go for so I thought I'd give it a try. It seems ok to me but we'll see. I'm taking her for an initial try-out tonight.
