I agree with Butte.
I've tried to custom jackets and they have always turned out not for the better. As Butte is saying (I think), changing the design of the jacket too much just puts too many variables into play.
Like Butte, I now only change pockets, liners, etc. I have a D1 on order...
I feel your pain. I will never go through Aero directly again. If something is not right, you end up spending a lot more money.
I had a Cheyenne which was a terrible fit. I sent it back for 80 bucks and then had to pay 80 bucks for shipping back AND they dinged me on customs again when it was...
+1 for US customers, Insurrection is the way to go. Believe me, it's much easier dealing with Insurrection than directly with Aero if you live in the states.
Another point is that I am also a 40 slim in a suit and wear a 38 in the 30's halfbelt, so it's good to be able to test out a size.
Aero can be hard to size.
I'm a 40 chest, 31" waist and a 38 30's HB fits me great.
The best is to go by measurements as others have said. My Aero Stockman fits me perfectly in a 34!
I'm pretty slim and really like the fit of my 30's halfbelt.
I always wanted a longer leather coat. My first attempt was the Cheyenne and it was a disaster. It fit like a sack on me and I ended up selling it. Then I ordered a longer Stuart, but it still fit very big on me.
I talked to...
My 38 across the shoulders measures 17".
Personally, I would give it time. I'm usually a size 40 in a suit and initially the 38 felt pretty snug. I actually was able to try both the 40 and 38 on and initially I felt the 40 was the better fit. However, I was steered toward the 38 as I was told...
Not saying the oil pull is as tough. Just saying it seems to be the same weight as my FQHH halfbelt. Definitely is much heavier than my Goodwear A2.
The label inside the jacket says FQHH, but as we all found out, this doesn't necessarily mean anything.
Yeah, I would have not thought a 34 either. She was actually debating going down to a 32, but thought that it would be too tight at the hips.
I'm going with a black FQHH. The lining is a wool tartan, but I forgot the name ;) it's one of Aero's stock darker tartans (black, purple).
Maybe it's my bad luck, but I think I'm 1 for 3 for Aeros in terms of fit.
My best fitting Aero is a 38 slimfit halfbelt that I bought off the shelf from Insurrection. My custom Aeros didn't fare so well. My Cheyenne was a disaster. The Stuart fits ok, but too roomy in the midsection for me...
Shoulder to shoulder appears to be 18.5".
It is plain cuffed without storm cuffs.
I have no idea how much it will cost to ship to Sweden. I would guess around 100 bucks? When I shipped something back to Aero in Scotland, it was about 70 bucks. For shipping costs, I would just charge you what I...
The tag says FQHH and it feels the same weight as my other FQHH. When I ordered, I just asked for oil pull and wasn't given a choice in weight.
I have a off the shelf slim fit halfbelt from Insurrection in a 38 which fits great. Normally, I'm a 40 suit- 40 chest.
This one fits well, but just a...
