    Like what BlueTrain said; fire hazard. Better to wear nomex. At least that's what we were always led to believe. Plus, I'd rather drag along my nomex than my leather jacket. Less likely to be stolen plus I can wad up my nomex and stuff it in my backpack a lot easier.

    EliasRDA: I did the same thing to a set of my BDUs before I went to AF Leadership School at Rhein Main. Cut off the pocket buttons and sewed the pockets down. I knew of guys that had uniforms tailored for a better fit, but nothing made from scratch. This was mostly in Korea.

    Yeah, their 2015 run has no insignia. I think a lot of people complained about the initial run that had the shoulder roundel. I got one of the first ones with the insignia. My daughters (5 and 3) both love the fur collar. It's not a bad jacket overall. I have a BR B-10 that I wear all the time.

    Yeah, no surprise there. I was actually referring to former fliers. I don't think many, if any, still wear theirs after they are off flying status but still on AD. My friend got a commission and is now an Intel Captain. I told her about it and she was like, "wha? I'm not gonna wear mine!"
