Most guys are with you. They don't wear A2s unless they are on flight status. And the AF has a huge portion of the Space Surveillance gig. Google "ISR".
Aircrew are authorized A2s as soon as they have their AO (aeronautical order) regardless if they've finished training or not. For enlisted guys, that AO also gives them their wings. You get your AO and can be taken off flying status for whatever reason, you'll still keep your wings.

I think on the HPA website it said if you're gonna order a B3 or B6, go up a size. Sure, it's a 44 on the outside, but it's gonna be a bit less inside due to the fleece.

Not just cadets. I think everyone in the USAF has seen this at least once during a leadership class. I know I saw it a few years ago in my section during an exercise.
My grandfather's two brothers were infantry in WW2. One in Burma, the other in the ETO.
The one in Europe said they fired up civilians if they had weapons. They were only told not to do it when members of the press were around.
