Ok, got some stuff to move.
First is a Gibson & Barnes Civil A-2, size 46R in goat. Knits replace with another, reddish pair.

Next is an Avirex A-2, size 40. Made of leather from some earthly animal, probably...
You guys ought to check out At The Front. He's starting up with some Navy deck jackets that should be hitting the website later this year. He has some pics on his Facebook page.
Just my wedding band. Never liked rings that much, never could wear any while I was flying.
Also, the horror story my dad told me about almost losing his finger when he got his wedding band caught climbing off an H-19 scared me straight. This was back in the day, when safety was almost...
Dude, nomex. If you're flying, wear it. Nylon will melt and drip and you sure don't want that when you're trying to battle your way out of a burning plane. Cotton is ok because it will "just" char.
And don't forget leather boots. I use to wear jungle boots when I flew, but then read a report...

"Descent into Darkness" is a nightmare. I remember a passage where they were instructed to try to recover bodies from the Arizona. After 12 hours, they had 12 bodies. They were literally falling apart when they were pulling them out.

I love the 1950-60s aircrew pictures. Like that SSgt on the left, I forgot how many I've seen of guys wearing low quarters when flying.
Leather boots. I always wore them while flying. We were issued Bellevilles.
The Racing shoes look neat, but how much blunt force trauma will they protect your feet from? A crash just isn't going to be fire.
When were you there last? I was in Berlin in 2008. True, there are buildings over the old bunker (apartment blocks, one apartment was Katarina Witt's), plus a small parking lot and playground, but there's also a large sign telling visitors about the bunker and the entire government quarter that...
