Very nice, the back is particularly neat, non of the baggy/puffy look so often seen on jackets. The hide looks quite pliable, how does the weight/feel compare to Horween's heavy front quarter horse?
Very interesting but my leather jackets never see a hanger, they are laid flat. I was referring to neck line creases in my recent Aero Premier 1930's half belt order. I assume you read 'Hide n Seeks' reply in the thread on leather choice:
"Yes we did take 5 attempts to get Coopersons jacket...
Interesting video, thanks for posting. To be honest, I can't see how those two slight creases in the back could have caused the loss in length reported, particularly when the many deep creases in the sleeves have had little effect. I would only assume some genuine leather shrinkage has...
You must be slim indeed if you're getting a premier 1930's Halfbelt in a 36"!! This pattern is very slim fit, definitely no layering. Why not hop on a train and get up to the Aero factory, it's a great day out and you could try some on.
That's a good looking jacket and the fit is spot on. Just needs a bit of breaking in and the collar shaping and it'll be perfect. I've always held off ordering a cordovan jacket because all the talk of it bleeding purple on your clothes, have you experienced any if that at all yet?
If you are considering FQHH, you should be aware it will be like wearing a suitcase when it's new and it might be a shock if you've never experienced it. Although very heavy, it will soften and drape when it's well broken in and it does have the most beautiful translucent finish. Some here...
A quick question on re positioning buttons. I have two nice pea coats, a 38" and a 40". The 38" fits fine on the shoulders and sleeves but is just too snug to button up. I haven't sold it because it's such a fine quality coat, the wool just feels softer and better quality than the larger 40"...
wdw - That's one beautiful coat and a great fit! The Premier range is not for everyone, you do need a slim frame to feel comfortable in one. I think think it suits you perfectly, enjoy!
To be honest I was expecting to see some serious creases from suitcase storage but, from these photos, I really can't see any that would cause a 0.75" length loss. I'd like to see the whole jacket, being worn if possible, but if not the video should show us more. Very nice hide by the way...
Great to see some high definition photos at last, excellent! Chest, shoulders and sleeves look spot on. The back length could probably do with an additional 1" to 1 1/2", to my eye, but if you feel comfortable in it just wear it and enjoy. Opinions on jacket length here vary a lot :-)
Trust me, when I measure a jacket it gets measured accurately, no mistakes. Aero do not take their measurements with jackets hanging, always laid flat. The measurement was taken in exactly the same way, when the jacket was new and now 3 months on, the result is very real. I don't know why the...
