Okay this is possibly one of the best or worst albums known. I want to hate it but there's just something that keeps driving me to listen to it! [huh] :D

http://www.amazon.com/Colors-Ken-No...=pd_bbs_3/104-8534290-4627916?ie=UTF8&s=music

If you haven't heard it try the samples out- they are groovy!!
Perhaps so,....but,...Ken's early "Word Jazz" from the 50's and 60's is unlike anything you will ever experience. It's,..well, Word Jazz,.. cool jazz music by an artist named Fred Katz as I recall, backing Mr. Nordine's surrealistic narrative stories.
"Fliberty Jib" is one of my personal favorites. Biting social commentary oozing with irony. :D

Also, "My Baby" ,...some cool jazz riffs with a surprise ending.

Is it just me, or does Mr. Cosby have a Groucho Marx meets Fred Flinstone kind of vibe going on here? lol

Is this good? I've found that random hammond albums are often very good. 'Specially with such swingin' chicks on the cover. Rowr!

The first four tracks are available on youtube here. The first track is okay, the rest aren't much to write home about though.

The Alpert album cover beside that album cover + whipped cream beside sour cream = me being reminded of one of the notable quotes from Dave Chapelle's "Rick James" skits.

This isn't an album -- but in the tradition of actors "intoning" pop songs, I present:

Eric Braeden (from the soap opera, The Young and the Restless) "performing" the song "Since my baby left me":

I have a copy of the Herb Alpert album with Ms Creme on the cover. My dad used to pick up boxes of albums at garage sales for a buck or something. going through them recently, I kept back a handful that were "interesting", primarily bizarre covers or obscure Canadiana content. I'll post some pics when I can find some spare time!

Immediately recognizeable.
