Right, DB, I'll give them a shot. Oh, no pun intended old man...
*Thinks to himself as he heads towards the range* I'm glad he's not thinking of putting Samantha in harm's way again. She might be our master infiltrator, but they're onto her. They'll be looking for her, and it's just too risky. Hah! Maybe he could send "Ah-nold". That could be the answer to all my problems...hehehe*

*Kilroy's at the range with DB's M1911s now* Wow, these are nice. Let's see what they can do. *Shoves a loaded mag into the gun, pulls back slide and lets it slam shut*
BANG! HOLY S**T! This thing just slam-fired! I nearly shot myself in the foot! Methinks he needs to work on this one a bit more...
*Takes the second one, carelully loads it and pulls the slide back* Now, this is better...BANG! Nice trigger pull, only a few ounces. I think I might have him build one for me...

Oh, about 20 minutes. Blame me on the Victrola, I thought you were asleep and needed a little quiet while I try to figure out how to attack these monsters. *gestures at diagram of German flying-wing*

Heard you outside my suite earlier, what's up?

Oh., nothing much.......(lingers on the silence for a minute) Its just I dont know how to talk to kilroy about everythings thats gone on. I mean we were in that ward for three weeks! Three flippin' weeks! Nothing! (falling to chair breathless) I don't know. I'm pretty I should'nt have these problems. Evryone says so.I can't think of anything to do.

Well, young lady, sometimes when people have something they really want to say to another person, they get all nervous and don't know how, or are afraid to because they don't wanna be rejected, any number of possibilities. I can tell you this, though, the way Kilroy gets tongue-tied around you, there's definitely something there, he just can't figure out how to say what he feels, mayb e even he doesn't know.

*PDA chimes, 12 bells*
Hmm... midday mess, I'm starting to get a little hungry. You like Italian?

*Walks into ready room* DB, these are nice! *Holding the good one* I really like the trigger pull on this one. Brilliant work! *Holds up the defective one* This one you might want to give to Ah-nold.
Oh, hi Samantha. I didn't see you sitting in that overstuffed chair. Are you okay?

Its ok. But a plate of spaghetti sounds good right now. (turning to kilroy) Oh hi kilroy. Yes I'm fine. I was.... was.......I'm sorry kilroy for how I have been acting. I feel 10 years old right now. I guess I am still confused about certain things in my life right now.

Wow, what a coincidence--I just happened to find some spaghetti-sauce and noodles in the last of my "down-time" supply stash. You guys like it with or without meatballs?

With as many meatballs as you can get on the plate! MY breakfast never made it to me this morning.

Don't worry, you've been through a lot recently. We've all been through a lot. You with your clandestine work, then getting captured and tortured. Then getting shot right before escaping. Ye gads girl! No wonder you're confused and uncertain! I've been having the same problems myself. It's this damn war! You don't know if you're going to live through it or not! One side of me wants to try to get serious, make plans for after the war, and settle down. The other side tells me not to get too close, as you - or I - might not be around tomorrow. It's these conflicting thoughts that are driving me crazy!
Oh, spaghetti! Lovely! May I join in?

(tears trickle down my cheeks) I guess I have to be thankfull b/c if I was still in germany I would probably be dead right now. Oh I am so hungry. Myabe I should change outta my pjs? People may think thats all I ever wear anymore. Well I guess a near dealth expireince warrants the waering of pjs all day!:) But I still dont get why the zebra team had to shoot me? Is'nt it against rules?Or something?

I hate to say it my dear, but anymore the only rule in warfare is there are no rules. Two weeks behind enemy lines should have taught you that. Things have only gotten more muddled by the appearance of yet another entity, who is neither on our side nor the Germans' side.
DB - with meatballs, please. Thanks good man! This smells better than Lo Phat's cooking! Don't tell him I said that!
By the way Sam, the pjs look fine. Only you could wear pjs all day and make them look good.

Sam, here's the deal on Zebras--they have no rules, in point of fact they're generally not expected to survive in the field.

Let's put it this way: before I left for this mission, my training class had taken 95% casualties in the five years since graduation--they take more like 99%, and are considered "throwaway". One-time-use, prepaid lowlife--the worst of the worst, believe me, I've killed a number of them in the field on my own ops when they went renegade before...

Will it ever end? When will the killing finally be enough? When will I have finally killed enough?
