Your guess is as good as mine. I don't really understand much of what he says, I think he's one of those Boffins who keeps developing new technology for the war effort. He talks routinely about things I've bloody well never heard of. As to the Rolls, I think he might have gotten through that Teekay bloke. Might be a bit dodgy, I suppose...

Uhh, guys, we need to talk. Samantha's reasonably safe, but we aren't--a Zebra Team reverted uptime to a week ago; Sam's description seems to match them.

Can't figure out why they grabbed her, or haven't done something over this past week, but I know they're serious--Zebra operatives are one-time-use, prepaid lowlifes that make the Chicago Mob look like fine upstanding citizens.

And if they're after me--and certainly PFY, for ignoring the recall order--they're almost certainly going to want a piece of you guys, too. And if that weren't enough, they'll be getting steady resupply from downtime--we got whatever we got or can scavenge and that's it.

Question: what's our move? I do have a few other possible reinforcements I can call in...

Oh--Carter, they're miniature machines that operate on the molecular level. They're good enough to disassemble a fat cell and rebuild it into muscle, but even they can only repair so much damage, and they can't replace lost blood--if you bleed out before they can close your wounds, it's still Game Over. The Rolls? Well, do you remember a little misadventure where I had to go rescue PFY from SOE in London? I deemed that the person responsible should lose his most prized possession a fair punishment... Consider it "liberated" and at our disposal for the duration of the war.

Actually, Kilroy, I'm neither a coffee nor tea drinker. I know Samantha's been sent behind enemy lines, and I know that our problem's not gonna go all the way into that kind of relatively-risky environment when they could be prowling here instead. At least I wouldn't, if I was them--and I taught most of the Zebra ops everything they know.

Not everything I know, though... this one's going to be interesting, a duel of assassins.

They'll probably try to assume identities of RAF or Allied military personnel, hit us here or at Hangar 18. They can hide from you, but not me--every operative sent uptime is implanted with a tracking-chip, about the size of a grain of rice.

*picks up phone*PFY, would you please wake 'Arnold'? And dig out my black suit and red tie, while you're at it?
