1930s C&K, Knapp-Felt derby.

I think it is nifty that there are two sets of owner initials. Shared hat (that'd be weird... "rock, scissors, paper you for the Knapp-Felt, today") or sequential owners (seems more likely based on different font and wear on the lettering)?

Wow! Impressive lid my friend. Looks like a pretty good weave from here.

Poor picture quality... Probably only a grade 4 - 5 Panama weave, but you can't find wide brim Panama westerns like this anymore. The trend is for low crown, stingy brim hats now. This one doesn't have a huge crown, but acceptable.

Almost all the "straw" westerns you see now are paper Toyo or Shantung with a solid coating of shellac on them. Even this Panama has shellac on it. Some even have a wire sewn into the brim to help mold and keep the form.

These hats are so incredibly unique and spectacular. If I can see correctly, though, it looks like Matt's Vita-Felt has the folded over "half blind" stitching on the brim treatment, and Charlie's gem is sewn from both sides of the felt... with both hats having a similar look and appeal.

I'd treasure any hat like these two, gentlemen! Good show, and thanks for posting!

I've become such a fan of the natural felt since I saw those Gannon lids commissioned by @Short Balding Guy and @Frunobulax . I got my first natural from Michael last year and subsequently changed my order with Bob at Black Sheep Hat Works from navy to natural.... it should be coming in the next few weeks.

Dobbs Twenty I picked up in a Wyoming cowboy outfitters this summer.

I need to steam the front brim or something as it is a little flat. It was on a shelf for a looong time according to the shop as everyone wanted real cowboy hats.
