Okay, I'm embarking on a mission. My mission is to make a 50s style dress out of Captain America fabric. I'll post pictures!

Sounds cool! I'm thinking about making one of the dancers dresses from the Star Spangled Man song from the new Captain America movie for Halloween. My 4 year old niece wants to be captain america for halloween so I'm gonna take her trick or treating :)

Here's another women's piece I recently finished, the jacket from an EvaDress 1933 ensemble pattern:

I've got a review and more info at Pattern Review: http://sewing.patternreview.com/cgi-bin/readreview.pl?readreview=1&reviewnum=66284

Fully lined too! Very nice work Nick D! Excellent pick of fabric.

I will always think it is fantastic that there's so many tallented seamstresses here! This is one of my favourite treads when I'm in lack of sewing inspiration! Thumbs up to you all that show what you make :eusa_clap

Now, this is what occupied my eveningtime a couple of weeks ago.

Its a beautiful skirt. Did you make the flap button opposite of the illustration intentionally? Did you knit the sweater?

Er, hm... *cough cough* No it was not really annything I was thinking of, when I lay out the pattern pieces it just felt natural to place the buttoning on the rigth in the same way as a normal side zipper... Good that you saw that, now I'm in need of one more :D
The sweater is a 30's pattern, I made it last year.

Sorry if it felt like I was telling on you, I thought possibly the picture was flipped.

I made this for a couple from my church. It's a vintage layette repro from Simplicity.
The dress is satin, the overlay is organza. The bonnet is satin. They're hand embroidered (sheesh!), and there's piping on the bodice, sleeves, pockets, and bonnet brim. The hem is scalloped.

Forgive the pic, it was taken with my cellphone.

Lovley work everyone.
AuroraFisherman-What a clever use of that pattern and I love the sweater also.
vintageTink-Adorable. I have that pattern and am hoping to make a dress for my friends baby before she gets too big.
Sorry for all the pictures. This is a summer's worth of sewing and it's not everything. The green dress and the PJ's need belts.

@deadpandiva :eeek: So many beautiful pieces. I especially love the pjs, the light blue blouse and the green dress. I´d wear that one instantly.

I love home made everything, when I got married I had home made bunting that one of my bridesmaids made me, I'm hanging my "wedding bunting" in my new kitchen when its done. Every time I see it I feel so chuffed to have such thoughtful and fabulously talented friends. I also made home made jam for my wedding favours too.

All the outfits and dresses on here are just WOW - gosh I wish I could sew properly! You girls looks amazing

The amount of sewing you've done puts my sad attempts to shame! I've been looking for a pattern for a dress with a neckline just like your brown floral one 3rd from bottom. You've inspired me to get sewing for autumn, since summer's definitely over here.
