and I believe that is something that will always be, I'm the same way towards my brother as well, although I won't go throwing any punches at anybody...can't imagine who in the world that would be intimidated by me..but I still will defend him to the death.

Because men like to be teased. Funny thing is, most men don't like to do the same kind of teasing to their women. They tend to plow ahead, so to speak.
no, I know men liked to be teased, but to have nothing to show for it in the end? just don't get it [huh] I think this has maybe gotten :eek:fftopic:

that is part of the charm and attraction about men, is that they are protective and make you feel safe.
I would always want my brother to be protective of me...it shows his love for me (in a brotherly way of course)

Back to the topic.

Here's a thought: in places like Nevada, are legal prostitutes protected from sexual harassment in the workplace? Could it be that "madams" there are prohibited from making sexual comments about their employees?

Actually, I'm not being facetious. If a lawsuit hasn't arisen from this, you can bet that it eventually will.

in the workplace? she works in cheap hotel rooms! there have been cases where because the girl/lady was dressed cheaply, the ruling did not go in her favor...a prositute I would imagine has to take her chances good or bad, I wouldn't think there would be much protection for her

that's a job they take at their own risk. I do remember something about call girls and a famous anchorman...just can't remember his name..I'm sure someone here will remember this..he was found guilty because he would actually bite these girls and do a lot of bodily harm...I think this case he got a little carried away

Absolutely. The employees cannot be forced to do things they don't want to. This kind of protection is exactly the rationale for legalising prostitution ...

Marv Albert, he was a sportscaster.

I will leave it at that as there are ladies present and I never wish to compromise the atmosphere when women are present.;)

I keep my mouth shut most of the time. Unless, I know that the woman isn't going to make a big case about it. Then I'll toss a curve ball.;)

I remember, back when I was an intern at a state legislature and some of the old women would grab my ahem:rolleyes: . or rub my knees. Hell, they were old enough to be my grandmother for goodness sakes.lol There were these two 200 pounders that would reach the elevator the same time as me and every morning it was; "hey handsome, you going to come by the office and have lunch today?" Or they'd stick their head in the office and tell the manager; "send good-looking to bring the papers next time".:D Then at the end of the day if they'd see me they'd say; "why are you avoiding us? Come on by tomorrow."

In the corporate environment I work in you say absolutely nothing personal to anyone, comment on anything personal, ask anything personal, or offer anything personal, ever.

Absolutely! Whenever I meet with my secretary or assistant, I always keep the door open. And, I never comment or ask anything that could possibly be misconstrued. It's not worth it. I've heard of careers that were ruined by offhand comments as well as sexual overtures.

I did meet Mrs. F-N at the office. However, we were peers working for different divisions of the corporation.

Ha ha. I had pretty much exactly the same thing at the factory where i worked my first summer job. Those payroll girls were merciless. Should've sued them, i guess ...

If only i'd known that i was being harassed.

I kid you not, this is covered in management training.

I work as a retail manager for an athletic footwear retailer. As the "patting of the bottom" is a traditional reward for performance in sports culture, we are encouraged to reciprocate in the workplace if both parties consent! This has been in place for years and has not come to be successfully challenged. On the other hand, we are still a traditionally male workplace. Even our new applicants are 85% male. It's odd, I've had a female assistant manager complain that the guys get the butt-pat for great sales days but no one touches her!

In a previous job, I was one of 3 men in a sales team of 30. I had a significant other, another guy was married, one was gay. We had a mutual understanding. Friendly flirting was ok, even expected. It kept the office fun and the comraderie high.
