Do you envy the pacific northwest right now?

Right at this moment, my envy know no bounds. I mean, 57 degrees? Heaven

Don't even remind me!!!

I'm here in the Sonoran Desert where it will hit about 114 today. At least two more months of this ahead of us. No vintage today, I'm afraid! It's shorts and a tee-shirt. (But it's a DRY HEAT!!!!!......right!) -dixon cannon

I envy very much. Luckily, I will be leaving for Spokane via train in several weeks to visit a friend. Should be a nice break from the heat. (Though that is of course not the reason I'm going...)

I would love to be in Seattle right now. Where I'm at it's 92 deg and rising and we expect about 106.

At least the forecast lows in Denver are in the 60s for this week. (It was 77 degrees here at 6 a.m.) I can at least cool off the house at night and close it up during the day.

It was 105 here in El Paso the other day, but even then it didn't feel too bad. I don't really mind the dry heat here at all, even though I am staying in a house with no air-conditioning. The humid heat in Houston and even Austin I find unbearable. 90 degrees in Austin is bad. 90 in Houston is murder.

The weather forecaster was going on and on about the heat index making it feel as though it would be 106 degrees  !!! Stay indoors unless you HAVE to go out, you'll burn, heat exhaustion, you'll evaporate! Truthfully, it doesn't feel that bad. I haven't turned on the ac yet. [huh]

You're not kidding!

I'm going to drive over to New Orleans Wed. to compare their humidity, and have a Sazerac (& something "Green") at Tales of The Cocktail.:p

It's looking mighty tempting. It was 108 here day before yesterday, and with no A/C (it's fixed now, thank goodness!) it got up to 95 in the house.

When it's hot and relatively dry, I try to stay covered up (100% cotton only!) so I don't end up looking like a lobster.

I try to avoid the "whining in the winter about the cold, whining in the summer about the hot" problem - so I limit my complaining to whining in the winter about the cold!

What great luck to have a new fur coat handy! :p

The A/C's fixed, and the coat should be showing up any day now. :)

And I'll certainly post pics! I still can't believe I found an authentic piece of vintage that actually fits me.

And hey, if it is a little too small, a few minutes in 105 degree heat while wearing it will sweat those pounds away! lol
