Excessive posting? ... Interesting.....

I'm painting the kitchen walls White, the cabinets Classic Ivory (a light yellow) and the trim is Green Chantilly (a light green..... not a word from you James, you green hater :p). I looked through a bunch of pictures from the 30s and this is pretty close to one of the kitchens I found.
The before kitchen was baby puke brown on the walls, trim and cabinets

Well, as long as it isn't a DARK green or a really BRIGHT green.......:p

Better than 1970s brown though.

I like it too :D

The brown color was more or function rather than for mood. You are aware that some small child during the "early feeding days" have that way of "projectile" back food they really don't want to swallow. (can you blame the lil stinkers, you ever tasted beets with chicken peek)?

Hello Rue
(I've never seen that smiley. I like that one.)

No posting of newdz? Thank ye gods.

And what's this about a rubber room? For some reason, the Monty Python skit about the Protestant looking down his nose at "those bloody Catholics" just prior to a well-known song, "...is sacred! Every..." comes to mind. [huh]
Bingo! I was thinking that very same thing, you have good taste, Sir, can we serve you a coffee or two?

It's not Day-Glo :p

Um yeah.... also lazy..... they painted over all the hinges and screws. In the bathroom, they painted part of the original tile green
Again, I have to make mention being in the "business" a bit of building and having done some "professional" remodeling...the case of the paint-over in a home is not always merely connected to someone being lazy! They were CHEAP! Too cheap to purchase a new pair of glasses and thus failed to see what they were actually seeing.... I bet a good search of pictures (in case you never met the prior owners) would show that both, "Ziggy and Louise", had to wear coke bottle thick glasses to just find their way to the bathroom!

Good!

Bad enough to have green tile much less painted green tile.:eusa_doh:

Green...a color of both power and authority....just think, what is that color of paper you cherish most that you (and everyone else) loves to stuff into your wallet? Bingo! Green....(mother nature knew there was a reason for all that green out there)!

That is a subtle green. :D
So well spoken. And alas, sadly not always so subtle when parting with it.

I may say in the defense of money....there has been a few times when it had to be spent, that as sadly as it was, I held a "memorial service" for it....(so long, Mr. Money, you will be greatly missed)......lol!

I have done a very intense "search" on the lounge site....and find it chillingly odd that I cannot find even one thread of topic regarding Cabbage Patch Dolls?

That's possible lol

Money talks but all it ever says to me is Goodbye. :(
I have often wanted to try attaching some sort of "recovery" gizmo to large bills, you know, fiftys or hundreds, and have it be like a rubber band type deal.....so it could "zing" the money back to you after if leaves your hand, and is in someone else's!

"Why sure, here is a hundred for your troubles, thanks",....and then (zing) it comes zipping back to your hand!
