lol lol :eusa_clapThe DeZurik Sisters, also known as the Cackle Sisters made a career out of yodeling like chickens. If you can narrow your niche enough there's not much competition.

Moving a little later, the Maguire Sisters were big in the 50's. "Bum bum bum bum, Bum bum bum bum, Bum bum bum bum, Bum . . . Mister Sandmannnnnnn . . . '
And the Clooney Sisters performed for a while together before Rosemary had her solo career.
My mom objected when she noticed (in the McGuires version) the line "and lots of wavy hair like Liberace," claiming "that's not the ORIGINAL version!"I was pretty shocked to discover this was not an Andrews Sisters song.
! I don't remember what I was youtubing, but I stumbled upon one of their songs.Allans sisters ( Allanovy sestry in czech original) They were inspired by Boswells and Andrews sisters and were performing from 1940 to 1967.

They have some of the smoothest falsettos I have ever heard. While searching for a video of the Boswell Sisters I got a hit on a very unusual Italian group called "Le Sorelle Marinetti", this modern trio does classic closed harmony in the style of the Andrew/Boswell/Lenin Sisters but with one twist...they are three men in drag singing in falsetto. At first sight I thought it was a comedy act but when they sang they were seriously good. Please check them out and post responses, I'm curious if I'm alone in seeing their art. If you like them go to Youtube and watch some of their Italian performances...exceptional.
BTW: I read they are actually not gay...not that there's anything wrong with that ;-)
