officer in pursuit...if a great jacket
thanks for the backup peacoat...(pun intended)...
i did find an lapd jacket made on another site that makes pro police jackets and it offered the lapd jacket both with/without both the badge holder and the stays and loops on the belt
great pictures...

glad so many people like, or love, their taylors...i'm crazy about mine
as for the concept that these are wannabe, or fashionista cop jackets, because they are light leather and don't have armor, i must respectfully disagree
i've seen and checked out many various decomissioned (i.e...
u r coRRect sir!
yes fletch, i was blown away when i bought a jacket on ebay in superb shape, an a2, where the manufacturer had left off a simple seam on the windflap...this is probably the easiest thing to fix, just a line up the windflap that looks manufacturer grade, hence is straight...
no kidding
so when you say Finn, you mean FiNN...as in FiNLANDiA!
these jackets are great...everyone's been thanking me for mentioning the sale they were having, but yOu were the one who dropped the dime to me about this...we all thank you...and i'm sure Taylor does as well since some of us...
thank you AARP!
i love applause...however, must share with 'bighairyfinn' (i think that's the sp) on the lounge here, as he alerted me to the taylor sale...so here's to the finn as well.
i guess i can't wait until winter...the jacket is not that warm, in fact it might be one of the coolest...
SO good my VANSON COMET's 4SALE (see fedLounge classifieds)
i must reiterate, i love this jacket so much, that i know i'll no longer wear my incredible 'next to no use on it' Vanson Comet (please see fedoraLounge classifieds section)
i don't know if i'm surprised or not about your jacket not...
SOLD...but will have others :D
selling this VANSON mercury with next to no use on it, and no marks of wear/no defects. has breakin of about half dozen very careful wearings, none on a bike
SiZE is marked 48 but VANSON comet runs small so it's a 25" armpit to armpit, and really like a large 44...
ricky don't lose that number
sorry, i don't have a number, but i'm assuming if you check around on the website you can come up with a contact number...so many manufacturers don't offer refurbishing services, or like Gibson/barnes,only on their own stuff...so when you find a good manufacturer...

did get my lynchburg cop jacket from taylorleatherwear on ebay...remarkable
looks kind of daffy in their pictures, but in person it's really an amazing jacket...very light cowhide, the 3m thinsulate is permanent, but light so this jacket is definitely no warmer than a normal...
sorry...but who knows, they may be putting more stuff up there...as you know from other threads, i love the luftwaffe style, and the lynchburg (now the nashville) is very close...even at full price the taylor jackets are authentic police wear, and superb...i've had them on before
but you have...
i know i can't post the ads from ebay, but i need to mention and share that taylorsleatherwear is clearing out some new old stock jackets...fedLounge member big hairy fin mentioned this to me in an email and i was blown away that taylor was letting $300plus jackets go for $50...they are new, and...
gibby and barnes
incredible jacks...i had the privilege of wearing a new one for a few days...simply perfecto...g-1, sizing was roomy...the older 'ma' style g-1s would indeed have a trimmer, more milspec fit as they are repro style
but warning about the a-2s, they are all cut on current a-2...
ignoble haus
written this before, and most agree who have their jackets, which i made the mistake of buying...
many are NOT milspec accurate (like some of their a-2s and g-1s), unless they cleared this problem up
quality on a luftwaffe jacket purchased 18 months ago or so was at the level...
