cHiming in yes, i've bought a few coopers, and priced many, on ebay in great condition they usually go for $125 to $150, sometimes up to $175 what might make yours worth a bit more are the patches...normally they might detract from the value, but it's clear yours are authentic repro...- johnnyjohnny

fLown into history the owner of the company died in a plane crash of his own plane (only him aboard) and another plane in 1983 over Hammonton NJ, ending the company and, obviously, any more production of the jackets i have both an a-2 and a g-1. the a-2 has slightly thin leather and a collar...- johnnyjohnny

Leather jackets?
cheaP stains i've seen pix of aero jackets, and i had one, a horsehide highwayman in lightweight hide, brown... i never had the impression aero had a cheap, stained look from the jacket i received or any pictures i've ever seen of their jackets.- johnnyjohnny

Aero's sizing - to trust or not to trust?
"Trust but VeRiFY" i'll go along with that phrase of Reagan's...i'd trust AERO, but verifying here is certainly a good idea. i ordered a highwayman, which i sold not for any reasons of dissatisfaction...i was worried about the sizing, comparing aero sizing on ebay (bad idea, sizing has gotten...- johnnyjohnny

what would i dO? i'd probably send it to aero, yeah, in ssshotland as 007 would say... i tried a leather tailor that was written up in l.a. magazine as the 'best in l.a.', and before doing something as simple as stitching up an a-2 windflap, he warned me that he didn't want to do it, that...- johnnyjohnny

no spec(uLation), it's miLspec hi...the velcro patches were for the nametag, and if there's one on each side of the chest, then for the insignia as well...these were only (i believe) put on milspec avirex a-2s of the 80s (possibly 90s, but i doubt it) so yours would/should be milspec...check...- johnnyjohnny

gooD deaL! i'm a big fan of cockpit usa...which used to be avirex...the history is well known, the clyman's redesigned the ww2 a-2 when congress okayed it's return as an issued item to military aviators...then the company started having their jackets made for the civvy market with funny...- johnnyjohnny
