Hmmm, not my style but they are interesting looking. Where do you think they are taking the inspiration from? Obviously some sort of military boot, but which?
If it's a repro, I'd say $161 was a fair price. I would guess that most other heavy bidders on eBay didn't think it was real or it would've been hammered. I personally think the shirt (if real) is worth upwards of $500 even in this soft market. Two years ago it would have gone for over $1,000.
A lot of gabardine in the US was (or is) made of a blend of wool and rayon. Combine the strength and durability of wool with the softness of rayon and you've got a winning combination. Makes me wonder why they switched to polyester....could it have something to do with the fact it's a petroleum...
Sorry it took so long on this! It's a pretty stiff denim that's got a nice graininess to it. I haven't washed mine, but I would imagine it would soften up over time. The size I bought was a tagged 46, but is more like a 44. It measures 21" shoulder to shoulder, 23 1/2" armpit to armpit, 24 1/2"...
The prison stripe jeans are just plain silly...some of the other stuff is already up on here:
