    30's~40's Work Boots

Marineabilly - I like the single leather sole better myself. Perfect for west coast weather with no snow and ice. Either that or a half sole...I think they do a Vibram one at Bakers.

I assume you mean the LVC version? Levi's doesn't sell LVC in their stores in the US any longer. Best I can recommend is to buy them here: www.cultizm.com I hear they are supposed to make a homecoming in the spring of 2010, but rumors always abound where LVC is concerned.

Parting Men's Hair: Where Should I Part Mine?

As long as you don't part it slightly above the ear and strap it over a big bald patch, any old part will do!

The sack coat that they Levi's stores are selling doesn't compare to the LVC model. It's a much more cheaply made jacket. I have to agree that the retail price on the LVC model was way too high, but I got mine for quite a bit below that.

Still not much wear on my WWII Impressions USN denim jacket. Denim jackets seem to take much longer to break in/show wear than jeans.

    Dockers K-1, similar recommendations?

Dockers now has a limited edition of the K1 out: http://us.dockers.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3971670&cp=2271557.2891171&parentPage=family A little pricey at $250, but they sound interesting. Some other new stuff on their site too.

    JC Penney: American Living

I looked for one locally right after Christmas and couldn't find one in XL...friend of mine copped the last one in the area I think.

    "The Grizzly"

I think Aero does a shawl collar on one or more other jackets. Don't particularly like the looks of the Lost Worlds stuff. Would ultimately like to find a vintage grizzly, but they only seem to come in tiny sizes.

    "The Grizzly"

My friend Pat did and they said they could replicate almost any design with relative accuracy. Still no $ for one yet....someday!

Has Anyone Seen This Particular Corcoran Boot?

I had a pair that I traded a few years back (wish I hadn't now) and they were very comfortable and well constructed. They had a fairly good insole in them as well...bought them in 2007?

    I don't think that's a particularly high price...don't know of another substitute.

    Engineer Boots, Harness Boots...

Actually, what you call "motorcycle" boots are actually "engineer" boots...made for work and adopted by motorcycle culture. Unless you are referring to some other kind of boots?
