Is a dark colored hat that much warmer than a light colored hat?
At night outdoors a dark hat will not absorb heat as it would during daylight hours from the sun eg. Dark colors absorb heat , light colors reflect heat. -

All good advice, would you consider an Akubra? With the current exchange rate you could get a felt fedora for less than $90.00. Fed IV, Stylemaster or Fedora, you would have to bash them as they come open crowned. Ckeck out everythingaustralian's website, or David Morgan. Your off to a good... -

I'm with Tommy here on the CD. That look can be duplicated easily, crown 6" or more, brim between 3 1/4"-3 1/2" to my eye. you could start here........EE770987633AU Miller hats 6" open crown, your choice of color, brim widths, bands. Failing that, any custom hatter could duplicate that hat... -

Ordered an Akubra Arena western, it's on it's way, also waiting on a Resistol western straw and a Melegrani fedora that's due to ship sometime next month. This must stop:)
