    Haven Hats

Okay, just purchased a BIN moss green hat of his ebay site, though it's a size too large , I know I an shrink it to fit. I don't think I can go wrong at the price. At my age and given the size of my collection, I really don't need any more hats but, if my small purchase helps an up and coming...

2015 Stetson Excellent Quality GREEN THIN RIBBON (Preview & Review)

You'll have plenty of time to bash and many years of wearing it, but I know the feeling of forgetfulness. I still haven't creased my sage Excellent yet and I've had it a few months now. Wear it in good health.

    Western, anyone?

I know Joao, I posted it with you in mind. I have several others of differing period style that I had made specifically for when I was more involved in cowboy action shooting, regrettably less so these days and that's the reason I trimmed the brim on the second hat I posted. I do have many more...

    Western, anyone?

Okay, since I haven't worn it in years I'll leave it as is. Here's another, not quite as tall made by Tom Hirt. I did trim the brim on this one, also had a curl and do wear this one occassionally.

    Western, anyone?

One for Joao, 5 1/4" crown, 4 3/8" brim to edge of curl, flattened it would be 4 7/8". I'm thinking of cutting the brim back, removing the curl. Made by Jackson Hole Hat Co. in Co. have several other large westerns.

Is a dark colored hat that much warmer than a light colored hat?

Let's assume the theory is correct that dark colors capture heat and then is able to transport that heat to the surface and cause it to dissipate in the breeze which would have a cooling effect. Now we're wearing a black fedora, no liner for the sake of this conversation, the heat is captured...
