    Anybody ever order from here?

I have several suits & hacking jackets like that, they are not difficult to obtain in the UK.

What women think of mens hairdo's?

I think Gregor Fisher perfected the comb over some years ago ;)

    Belstaff Howard Blouson

Something rather similar has happened to a good deal of what Barbour has to offer these days.

HOw are the New Year's resolutions going?

Although I actually started about a month prior my New Year resolution was to learn to play the melodeon. I am now able to just about pick out one tune ...and usually get it right around the second or third attemptlol

They were reasonable quality garments which IIRC had some classic designs in their range. Steve ....I've been called many things but never a 'dart' before ;)

    Fashion shift...

Not just vintage either Alan, I see and mix with ordinary shooting and country folk here in the UK in similar attire on a regular basis.

    Ebay UK

Ebay UK is not the bargain hunting ground it once was but there are some gems still to be had especially if one is not hidebound in use of terms like 'vintage' etc. There are a number of dealers who tend to dominate if one uses the search function rather than browse. Remember that financial...

    suit alterations

It would be a shame to alter an original piece beyond redemption. Bide your time a little and something will turn up, in the meantime you could take a look around locally.

Also be mindful that sellers idea of garment sizes and methods of measuring garments themselves can sometimes vary.

    suit alterations

My advice would be to go to your nearest traditional outfitters and tailors ask them if they will measure you up (many will do this for a reasonable fee). While measuring may seem straightforward for the tyro it's always worth getting the job done properly as it could save you from making costly...

    Show us your Guns!

Oh yes Alan you understand well the reasons behind my reluctance to 'show off' any more (also bearing in mind the current political climate and obligations involved in keeping such things these days). That said I would agree with the views of your friend. The graceful sidelever on many Grant...

    Show us your Guns!

I am reluctant to post details of what I own but I will make one exception as it is one that I am quite fond of. A Stephen Grant 12 bore sidelever side by side hammergun with 30" barrels that I acquired from a very old friend who passed away many years ago. The gun has been well used...

    Changi

The gate that was built by POW's at Changi was relocated to just in front of the HQ building inside Bassingbourn Barracks just north of Royston, Herts. I know it well and have walked under and around it many times. Edited to add photo:
