I usually bid in the last few seconds too, either by an automatic sniper or manually. I agree with BK, you need to know what you are looking at rather than rely on sellers description. I would say that many bargains are to be found from private sellers who don't really know what they have and...
Back in the days when I collected such things I always made a B line for large size Bancroft Flighter's. I've been out of such things for some years now - are good original Flighter's still around much?
I spent some years as a curator of a museum based within an active military camp over here in the UK. The base itself is pre WWII and as time went on there were obviously numerous modernisation schemes one of which was to upgrade all the accomodation - both married and single.

Agreed, it I would prefer to see it more waisted but as has already been said the oversize does not help with the impression.
Centre vent, hacking (slant) & ticket pockets, throat latch and material all point to it being a country suit with a sporting / equine flavour. An 'action back' or...
Gurteen are manufacturers not retailers as are Wensum / Bladen. Their sales are outfitter based, not internet.

Agreed. Fit aside it looks like a good quality modern off the peg British country suit with fairly typical features. I like traditional features like hacking & ticket pockets and throat latches and wouldn't attempt to turn this kind of garment into something else.
I buy, I sell and have used eBay for well over ten years, I have a 100% positive feedback record.
As a buyer I always leave appropriate feedback. When I buy I make sure I read all the terms and conditions and abide by them to the T. I always pay promptly and ensure I have the correct method of...
