Wow, Starius thanks so much for posting these pictures. You're right, if there was any justice this structure would be a national monument. So interesting that Anderson did the original windows.
Congratulations!
What a lovely suit--I'd leave the buttons alone too. I love the idea of incorporating holly (maybe varigated?). I've heard that the sap of poinsettias can stain fabric so I'd check on that before using those flowers.
I think a hat with netting along the edge would...
I've got a bead on a lovely 1930's evening dress at an amazing price but the deal is still in the process of being done. Cross your fingers for me ladies--I can't believe I found an original in my size!
I've always wished real life had a soundtrack--you'd know if you were in danger or met your true love.
I was listening to an old cd today and remembered one of my favorite romantic songs, My One and Only Love. My favorite version is by Louis Armstrong but I couldn't find it online. The...
I'm glad for your bargains Ada Veen!
I got an email that all Vogue patterns were 6.99 (excluding out of print) for 9/18 and 9/19--maybe that's just US? I may have to succumb to temptation on a couple.
I finished the first disc of Season 3 of The Office last night. So far not as good as Season 2 but it's clear they're doing a lot of plot set up so I'm not giving up yet.
I got the cutest wiggle dress in the mail today--fits me perfectly too. It's late 50's/early 60s -- very Mad Men. I'll get somebody to take my picture in it soon so you can all see it--for some reason the shots I've taken with the self timer lately have been so dark as to be useless.
Yeah--I got the other 2 out when I was around 25 and it was a piece of cake. Not so this time! Last night was a nightmare. Feeling somewhat perkier today but, still, I've definitely felt better.
I desparately want a vintage gas stove. I go to these sites to dream;

I almost bought a Big Chill fridge but, in the end, it was too expensive for me at the time.
