Very nice! I collected music sheets in high school, they're so interesting historically and the graphics are often lovely.
So many have the previous owner's name on them. It always puts me in mind of parties where everyone brought their own music--must have been fun.
I adore Jon too--I just listened to a speech he gave at the Oxonian Society in NYC; besides being hysterical the man is so brilliant at analyzing policy and politics. Sometimes I think his intelligence is overlooked because he's such a talented comedian. A friend of mine got tickets to The...
Are you planning to make the version with the capelet Miss Huff? I'm a sucker for anything with a cape. I picked up a few patterns during this sale and they definitely include the Retro line in the sale--it's not vintage but I'm excited to see how the twist in the bodice of B5079 actually...
Both Gaige and Hemingway are both worthy of battles, no doubt, but I'll take advantage of your diverted attentions to call dibs on Paddy.
Honestly, I look at that new avatar of his and I want to rest my chin on my hand, sigh deeply, and break into a chorus of "Dear Mister Middleton/I am...
It cracked me up that the audience clearly didn't realize who it was until Viggo turned to face them near the end of the bit--he should have taken his hood off when he came out. I loved how "into" being Aragorn he was too, declaiming "My Lord!". That's what I love about the Report--you never...
It is a marvelous photograph--drove me to petty thievery, it did (I ripped my copy out of a magazine in my dentist's office). There's something about the way Edward Norton and Naomi Watts hold themselves that I keep coming back to--they're so "in character" even in a still photo.
Yes, I saw...
Wow--just saw Blink for the first time. I think this one has rocketed to the number one slot on my favorite episodes list. It's true it's not a typical Doctor Who but thematically it was perfect. I don't usually get freaked out by television shows but this season of Doctor Who is doing it...
Wasn't that just the best?! Stephen's such a LOTR freak, he deserves an Emmy just for keeping it together during that segment. I hope they put the sword by the Captain America shield. I love the Atone Phone too--good series of shows on the Report this week.
One of my best friends is the biggest comic book nerd I've ever seen and he dragged me to X-men because nobody else would go with him. I actually enjoyed it--in no small part due to the eye candy provided by Mr. Jackman. He was great in Oklahoma too--talk about versitile!
You look so dashing Paddy (sigh!)--those are marvelous pictures!
It's sad to hear the shop is discontinuing selling hats, but such a nice bargain softens the blow.
I'm right with you KittyT! Today was one of those days I was glad no one could see me; after tacking a chalk covered string across a doorway I was spinning like a dervish trying to get all 10,000 yards of that (censored) skirt marked so I could pin the hem up. The things we do for fashion!
Yippee!
I reallly need to get started on my dress for the Saturday night event on the QM. I've got the "I have barely enough yardage of this expensive fabric so I can't afford to screw it up" jitters. I should just cut into it tomorrow and be done with it.
Welcome OOA (I love your avatar, the photography montage is my favorite part of Funny Face)! There's a similar thread in the display case (http://www.thefedoralounge.com/showthread.php?t=22406) with pictures that might interest you.
