Everyone looks so good! I especially like those crabs in lucite cufflinks Dinerman.
I attended a going away party today. Not the best photos of my dress (they didn't look that dark on the camera!) but they'll give an idea of my outfit.
Navy late 1940's rayon dress with pleating and...
KatyLouise--What a color that dress is--scrumptious! Beading is the icing on the cake
CassyLynn--You'll be cozy in that coat this winter, beautiful stuff
Lauren--I love the jacket pattern, some of my favorite patterns are from the New York Pattern company
Yay for picture spam!
Nobody with a Scottish accent should try to hide it, I don't care what the role might be. It's a crime against nature to try to cover up something that attractive.
Interesting about the vaccination, I'll have to ask my doctor about it because I sure don't want to go through this again! The age thing fits too. At 39 I am entering middle age--hopefully anyway; one never knows when one's number will be up (my father died so young he was middle aged at 20)...

Happy Birthday! A nice pen is such a great gift. I get completely lost in good stationary stores--time evaporates. Always a good way to spend an afternoon.
Goodness, Harp, what are you waiting for? Get thee to a movie theater! ;) I've heard really mixed reviews on the film adaptation The Jane Austen Bookclub but I haven't seen it (I didn't read the book either).
I hang my head in shame while I admit that I've never read any of Austen's...
I wasn't sure where to put this--Books? The Powder Room? I finally settled on The Moving Picture.
There's a new magazine put out by Life about Grace Kelly called Remembering Grace 25 Years Later. It's part of their Great Photographers series and all the photos are by Howell Conant. He...
I was sorry to hear this, I've always enjoyed her essays. You know, I've owned "A Wrinkle in Time" for years and I've never read it; for one reason or another it keeps getting knocked down on my reading queue. It'll be my next book.
