    New Book--The Star Machine

Thanks for the link MP--how did I miss that? One of the things I really like about Basinger is that she often chooses actors/actresses that haven't been overly analyzed. For instance, flipping through her latest book I noticed she looks at the careers of Tyrone Power, Loretta Young, Jean...

    Families of the Lounge

I think if you looked up "adorable" in the dictionary you'd find this picture--they both look so joyful. Marty, I envy your daughter's haircolor--simply beautiful!

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

Love the topstitching on the band (is that the correct term? It doesn't look like a ribbon). I can see why it would be a best seller.

Suggestion for a new vintage repro/inspired Clothing Line?

Another ditto for pdxvintagette's great post, especially the point about nice fabric. I'd love to see a broad size range too, although I know that can be difficult for startups. I think there's a market for vintage repros in the 18/20 22/24 size range that isn't really being addressed...

    Show Us Your Purchases!

Love all your things SarahLouise, but these are my favorites. I just love vintage coats, and the color on yours is fantastic. Those glasses are great too (and such a bargain!).

'Tis the season for dry hands and feet!

This time of year I wish I had a third spigot on my bathtub for lotion--all over my skin just shrivels with dryness. Neutrogena products usually work well for me; I buy their lotion in the largest quantities possible (and I go through it too!).

Dare I start a doll thread?

What a great pattern! Did you buy it or create it? I love the fabric too--so lucky to find such a great novelty print in the perfect scale (no pun intended).

    What are you wearing today??

I've probably said this before Dinerman but I love the ribbon on this hat--that looks like such an unusual "bow", it's marvelous.

    What are you wearing today??

Isn't that always the way--you always want what you don't have (especially with hair it seems).

Finally cracked: a present to myself...

Hurrah! I can't wait to see pictures of you in your new hat. Also, a chip clip--who knew it could be used to alter a hat? Clever, that.

Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story

I love Jane Lynch--didn't know she was in this. Hmm... Justin Long as George Harrison and Jason Schwartzman as Ringo Starr are also intriguing. Glad you enjoyed it too.
