A friend asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I sent them the link to these shoes, which arrived yesterday.
I got my usual size, 9, and they fit perfectly. The shoes are very comfortable with nice padding on the soles. Despite the nearly 4" heel my toes aren't driven into the peep...
In my experience the thirties are far better than the twenties--I feel much younger now (at 39) than I ever did in my twenties. I'll bet the forties will be even better.
She's utterly adorable! School pictures have really come a long way--those look like a professional photo session not the "sit in front of a cheesy backdrop" school photos of my girlhood.
I love seeing everyone's trees--they're so personal aren't they?
Here's mine--I usually put it in the dining room but I decided to try it in the living room this year. I wasn't sure about the new space so this one is a bit shorter than I'd usually get--still cute though. You can see it...
Novelty printed flannel nightgowns that are several sizes too big for me. My favorites have been washed a million times so they're really limp and soft.
Sketchers too--not vintage looking at all but comfortable and easy to get on and off.
Fine Woodworking is a top notch magazine (all of the Taunton publications are great in my opinion) and a great idea generator. I'd think he'd be really happy with that gift.
KittyT--Ooooh! Love that bag!
I love those pictures!
I took out all the Christmas decorations on Sunday and it looks like Santa's workshop exploded all over my house. I'm about halfway done decorating--pictures when it's complete (hopefully tonight).
I agree with Big Man, all of them look great on you. My favorite is the "New 10X Stetson "Reno" 5" crown 3" brim with twin chord band". I think the wider brim suits your face better.
I'd love to see you in a hat with a 5" crown, 3" brim in a color to match the yoke of that fabulous jacket...
That jumper is adorable! I'd love to wear something like that but I bet the straps would slide down my slopey shoulders (such a pain!).
I've been trying not to spend on clothes since I spent so much this Spring/Summer but I paid next to nothing for a dress that arrived in the mail...
Miss Brill, my goal is to work the phrase "For all my Christmas gilding..." into a conversation today.
Is that a Martha article? That woman'll gild anything that isn't nailed down!
