Lucky girls, in both families.
That's a gorgeous ring Samsa, she's sure to love it. And, of course, the most important thing in all this is that she loves you.
Please tell us her reaction!
LOL! Perhaps, but not my Harris Tweed--I love it too much send it around the world alone! If I go to the UK next year (as I hope to do) I'll try to bring it with me though.
That's a great looking sweater--I love the curl of the collar. What color are you making it up in? Please keep us posted on your progress and show a picture of the finished product!

I'm sorry your girl's been under the weather. Those stockings are so cute and I love it that she calls them "her boys".
Shrinky Dinks! There's a blast from my childhood--didn't know they still made them. I fondly remember making Hollie Hobbie ones at a friend's house when I was around 6.
I bought a pair on ebay that I adore (french, black with carving that reveals the white below) but I think they're a bit too big for my face. I should try them on again.
I think that's my favorite book of the series. The Long Winter is better written but By The Shores of Silver Lake is more upbeat (except I still tear up everytime I read the bit with Jack).
Wow, that's a story!
I did the reverse recently--vodka followed by champagne--and had one of the worst headaches in recent memory the following morning. But my glasses were intact!
The things you learn! We had these growing up and they were the best. The Vermont Country Store still sells them: http://www.vermontcountrystore.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=7798&itemType=PRODUCT&RS=1&keyword=ice+cube
Gorgeous fridge SL--any chance of a picture with the door...
