Sorry Reetpleat, 'decent men/women' it's not an insult, just my jolly hockeysticks British way of speaking, you know like 'awfully nice'
I never expected/wanted kids but here I am with an 11 yr old son and most chaps have been really honest and I always say if I meet someone I think may be...
Gosh, best wishes from here in the UK, my Aunt Patsy lives in Santa Barbara and we were quite worried for her, but she is being very British as usual and has retreated indoors with a Gin.
Shearer, hope the heavens open soon and a good downpour follows.

Urban Decay do an amazing colour that is almost a dead match, but for the life of me I can't remember the name.
Also Jessica have an amazing array of Reds.
How do you find Macs lipsticks? (just as an aside!)
I'm just in the process of doing mine for a night out (1940s dance) I'll let you know how I get on. Have pin curled two small rows at the front, side parting and then finger curled the back. I washed it yesterday and then use a plant mist thing to just damp it down slightly. I've used a Wella...
Hi Fleur! Thanks! I knew I recognised her but couldn't place her!
The actress used to be in East enders and hasnt done much since, but was really friendly and a regular at petticoat lane!
K;)
Oooh I love Fair-isle.
I bought some funny fingerless mitt/sleeve things yesterday from Primark and they are soooo cute £2!
Re that coat-who is the girl? (excuse my ignorance) contact her people and ask. They will always tell you as they keep a list. I once spotted a UK actress wearing a fab...
I think, for what it is worth...any nice, decent men/women will not care that you have junior in tow.
I'm a single mum and I found that it was easier to just make friends in my own circle, (ie other vintage nuts) and ended up dating a male friend who knew my circumstances.
Good luck! and...
You might like to look at fellow loungers Johannas site.
She has drawn some tatoos and I've bought a print from her. She draws really beautifully!

In her defence (or her stylists...) She does occasionally pick up some really nice vintage pieces.
In the last season she had a lovely 20s opera coat and some amazing shoes.
But yeah....I wore slogan t-shirts in the 80s and they are Uggggggglllll-eeeeeeeeee!lol
Well of course we have pap smears but it's very much
'Hello doctor'
'good morning, do pop up onto the couch, ankles together blah blah...(starts using the thing that always reminds me of a car jack) gosh, terrible weather today isn't it?'
'yes, very cold for the time of yr'
'right thank you...
Oh I feel so old.
Was trying to remember my fisrt date, I had liked this chap for ages and all my friends knew and then they told his friends and they said' do you like her' and he said yes and I remember him coming over to ask me out and I kept hopping about from foot to foot all nervous and...
I've been following this thread with interest.
Two things strike me:
1) We're waaay behind you in England.
2) You have a much better understanding of your bodies. We don't have OB/Gynos unless we're a) pregnant or b) ill. I have no idea if my uterus is tipped, filtered or upside down!lol...
It's my dance on Saturday and the theme this yr (the 10th anniversary of us starting the dance) is 'Remember Pearl Harbor!'
So, it has a hawaiian/japanese theme (two rooms) and I already have lanterns and Lei (who'd have thunk you could get 'em in the UK!) and I'm busy folding Origami cranes...
I'm 35 and kind of thought I'd be over crushes by now.
However, Jimmy Stewart still makes my pulse race and I have a ridiculous crush on a guy I know.
Nothing will ever come of it, but it's nice to daydream;)

Agree.
There will always be those embarrassing toupe moments...
I think it's cute. We all have hang ups.
I had my hair cut yestreday and I hate, hate, HATE it.
I have a big moon face anyway and what was supposed to be a trim from my past shoulder length hair has ended up a just below...
Any UK ladies there is a magazine called Prima, they have a number to call every month for a free pattern.
This month it is a Swing Coat in three lengths.
I'm sure it could find its' way to any interested US gals!
;)
