Just a 'heads up' girls on a pattern I found at the weekend.
Simplicity have extended their anniversary range and I bought this pattern:
But I'm going to make the jacket minus the pockets as they add weight to my already child-bearing-size hips.

Mall Hair! I love it...I remember wearing too much denim and having veryyyyyy big hair which I teased and sprayed to death.....I looked like Tiffany, not a good look!
Ah, happy memories!!:eusa_doh:
(Welcome Miss Chaise!)
I'm at a wedding this saturday. The bride and groom have already had a '40s style' wedding but this is for family and friends in church.
I am wearing black suede 40s peep toes with this dress and a black pashmina (I know they're out but they hide my Dockers arms!)
My hair will be set on big...
Gents (and ladies)
I found this company via The Chap magazine here in the UK. They are well worth a look, making high waisted trousers, waistcoats, wrap around pinnie dresses...oh have a look.
Bit pricy mind, but really lovely.

Some amazing pics chaps!
A couple from my own collection:
Wilmoth Thomas Purdy, RCAF killed august 1941 in Yorkshire. I look after his grave, his sister Lily had her ashes interred there last yr.
The second is of a Belgian soldier, I picked him up at a car boot sale and all it says on...
"And I'd have gotten away with it too if it wasn't for you pesky kids!!!!!"lol
I have seen 'odd' and 'unexplainable' things, and I have a friend who can 'read' inanimate objects such as this. I found two rings tied together with ribbon under the floorboards of my house, she had a go and about...
I also made this 30s evening frock from an original pattern a while ago but think I will ressurrect it (when I can fit into it again ha ha) The fabric is original that I found at a junk sale!
Hi Lauren, this is it. 1930s with a pale green stripe running through it! Bought it off Ebay but haven't worn it yet. Saving it for a 1930s house event here in the UK.
