Enjoying a bit of renewed interest over here in the UK at the moment, Al Bowlly.
Killed in a raid on London, he's famous for 'Goodnight sweetheart' but songs like 'Who am I?' and 'Close your eyes'

Makes...
I've met a few from working in the theatre, but I really managed to make a twit of myself on The Kings Road in London when 'Wild at Heart' came out. I must have been about 14 and I saw Nic Cage in a book shop with his then g/f Robin Wright.
I was hugely impressed, but didn't know what to say...
I watched a re-run of Legends of the Fall last night only got as far as the WW1 part and lost interest. (although the WW1 reconstruction was v good)
Hm.
But, I did enjoy 'Pot of Gold' always nice to escape to Jimmy Stewart for an hour or so.:D
I hope my pic counts, as I do like to think of the WW2 ATA (Air Transport auxiliary!) as Lady adventurers!
This was taken at RAF Upwood 40s event last month. Apologies for my hair, after wearing a flying helmet it sort of went...well..my rolls got squished.
Well, whatever anyone says about your bangs (or fringe as we call on this side of the pond)
Just don't do what I did, get bored one night and take the kitchen scissors to your fringe.
Round face + short fringe = bad shakespearean look.
lol
People always criticise what they don't...
Euuch....name and shame the shop!!!!
I came across one in Norfolk recently and seeing as I was already in a bad mood she got my 'eyebrow' (thanks Vivien Leigh...I learned it when I was 5 having seen 'Gone with the wind') and a lengthy rebuke.
I then went to another vintage shop in the same...
Yes, bloomin weather!
Think we got the tail end of it here in the UK. The Event we were going to has been cancelled.
Tatum, loving the hair! I can't believe you don't like the uber blond bit! It's so cool!!
Kate
(who would love a bit of sunshine and a convertible!)lol
I've got one of those Miss 1929...I quite like it for shaping the pin curls but I don't bother with loading the pins any more....
Would love some of the rubber marcel wavers!

Weirdly, Joaquin Phoenix wasn't born with a cleft lip. It is purely a birth mark. I was quite surprised. My son was born with a cleft lip and I wondered how they got Joaquins repair looking so good.
Anyway, mystery solved.
