John - I'm sure with a bit of steam and time those bumps will come out, but they don't detract from the hat - I wouldn't worry too much about a re-block, they add a bit of character.

Thanks for all the comments on the 'Kendall - Milne'. I think Olive/Green hats were a lot more common over here than in the US - conversely pale hats beyond grey, much less common. I'm waiting on a few ebay chance purchases - hopefully they'll approach this one in condition and I can expand my...
