Catching up...
Orangegrad - very nice akubra
Steve - Beautiful Borsalino
Justin - That Stetson Expo looks great on you
Rusty - Wedding hat (and wedding outfit) look great
WJ - Interesting ribbon work on that VS Whippet
Smoothsailor - great photo, great hat
Frank - nice looking 'sunday best'...
My favourite has to be Brora, but they're long closed and it's getting too pricey for me. Talisker from the more easily available distilleries makes a decent option.
Christy's may have made the hat for Stetson - I don't know who they used. The felt and sweat are much nicer than the okay current Christys though.
I look forward to photos of the Adam in situ :)
Stetson Swift (I think) Made in England under license. From the seller's description I was fearing the condition wouldn't be great, but the sweat is perfect, the liner good, and the exterior is just grubby/dusty:
More photos in the Steson Liner thread.
One of three ebay finds I collected from the Post Office this morning:
Lincoln Bennett 'Avalon' in Bark UK 7 1/2
I'm guessing late 50's to mid-60's
Lightweight, unlined fur-felt - stingy brim. Appears to be unworn, or barely worn. Apart from a little dust it's immaculate, with...
Javier - Nice pugaree on that
Jared - That Milan looks good - nice colour
Alan - Looks a little on the warm side for this time of year, but a very nice finish - smooth enough for a topper
GD - Lovely Whippet
Justin - I have cap envy!
Rusty - All the best for the wedding.
David - Great lid to keep the rain off
Perry - Great looking OR again
Sam - I love that colour, and you do have some fine and unusual ribbons.
HatsRMe - looks a great fit
AnA - Very nice - the Che style works...
