What cigar (or pipe) did you smoke today?

Hey guys. Been a bit since I read here. Hope everyone's well. Lately, the past two weeks, I've smoked quite a few 1958 PreEmbargo Genuine Counterfeit Cuban Cigars that I purchased from J*R way back in 2001. They're still quite good. Box of 50 Epicures (little perfecto--I'm a fool for those) for...

What cigar (or pipe) did you smoke today?

I didn't start smoking until I hit 30 years old. It was an informed choice. I'd been a rude, obnoxious anti-smoking Nazi up to that point, well, somewhat. My friends smoked and I tolerated them, but still as I got older, I got more strident. Then I started reading about cigars, and decided to...

What cigar (or pipe) did you smoke today?

The Texas guys are in San Antonio for the All-Texas Memorial Day Herf, but what about the rest of us? Friday Night I had a big La Flor Dominicana Premium Line at the ball park watching my older son play. Last night at the swim club we go to with our friends who are members....I had a...

Anyone else dreading the new Indiana Jones film?

I like Dixon's idea. Encourage, encourage, encourage. I do it, the kids are shocked when an older person says something nice to them.

What cigar (or pipe) did you smoke today?

No it does not mean that. The company used to be called Puros Indios. Puros Indios Becomes Reyes Family Cigars Don Rolando Reyes "retired" and his grandson Carlos Diez became the President of the company. Carlos changed the name. I also interviewed Carlos around the same time.

I had a Cienfuegos Lonsdale last night. That's a cigar from Reyes Family Cigars (formerly Puros Indios.) Nice shade wrapper, leathery character. I'll smoke another.

What cigar (or pipe) did you smoke today?

Hey guys. The Dea is from a shop called MD Cigars (www.mdcigar.com) in Yuma Arizona. It's a medium strength cigar, that's not too harsh. Mike, the owner, has been a forum mate since I joined the cigar board in 2001. Last night's smoke was a brand new cigar called Devil's Weed from Molina...

What cigar (or pipe) did you smoke today?

Looks as if some of this thread was lost? Last night, had my first in almost a week. It was a new brand, a Dea available at MD Cigars in Yuma, Arizona, just yet. It was a double corona, something I don't normally smoke, but I knew I had almost two hours during my older son's baseball...

That's a Toraño bundle brand that first came out in 2002. They've done well with this brand as so many bundle brands come and go. The Toraño family makes good cigars.

What cigar (or pipe) did you smoke today?

I haven't had a Montesino in at least ten years. It's Fuente's answer to a Macanudo, for newbies, or those who don't like heavy, strong cigars. It's made by Tabacalera A. Fuente, so it should be nothing if not consistent and well made. Had a Don Benigno at the ball park last evening. Very...

What cigar (or pipe) did you smoke today?

The other Saturday cigar, I'd forgotten was a Bucanero. These were the hot brand three years ago. Their policy of only dealing with brick-and-mortar retailers has hurt them in the online cigar world. They're not available many online places. But it rewards their loyal shops. Have to like that...

Try doing what the vintage folks do....thrift stores, flea markets, ebay, and get an old one. I have a friend on Cigar Weekly who finds old ones, and refurbishes them. He refinishes the outsides, and he puts new Spanish cedar on the insides, usually. They're gorgeous, and usually in your size...
