Got a pole lamp and a print of a 1920s era train depot at the main Goodwill in Seattle today. The shade I already had on another lamp but decided to put it on this one, at least for now. The lamp has a heavy cast iron base with a metal cover.- Brinybay

Found this print at a local Goodwill today. A little yellowed, but I liked the scene well enough to get it anyway. I'm guessing the scene is 1920s because of the raccoon coat, the cars, and that straw hat the guy on the far left is wearing. I forget what that particular style of hat is...- Brinybay

Correct, they're pretty much single use, one or two plays. I can't find the website where I learned this, but what happens is after two plays the needle becomes a lathe and starts carving out the grooves in the record, damaging it badly and making it sound distorted.- Brinybay
