> I am however amused at the rear creasing! I am surprised I did not pick up on this in the sellers photos.
That there is a super-rare Left-Handed hat!
THANK YOU so much, Dr! Clearing up a 15 year conundrum. You really are a wizard!
(I'm sure the answer is also held elsewhere in the treasure-trove of FedoraLounge posts, just never thought to do a search)
So, Woodtroll, you have stepped into a conundrum that I’ve had for 15 years.
I ordered a campdraft online in 2007 in silverbelly.
About a year later i bought a territory in sand.
To my eye they are the same color. I don’t know if one of the orders is wrong, or a mistake, or if Akubra’s sand...
I’ve been pondering changing the thin ribbon on my 2007 silverbelly Campdraft, tried one out today, curious to know what folks think. I’ve also started experimenting with more fun ribbon colors, hence the blue.
Apologies for the mediocre photo...
I'm curious if anyone's tried the "rolled sweatband" option? It's a bit pricy at $25, but if it's a dramatic improvement, I'm game. But first I'm curious if anyone's already taken the plunge and can give their opinion.
Might I ask how expensive a hat we're talking about? If I spent $700 on a hat that I was lead to believe was 100% pure beaver, and got an all wool hat, yes - I'd be livid, and demanding the store fix things.
But if it's a $50 hat? I'm not sure how much time you want to put into fighting to claw...
Are cheap-o modern hats allowed?
I saw the Man In Black's panama hat on Westworld, and got a bee in my bonnet (see what I did there?) to find something simliar , but without spending a fortune.
Found lots of "braid" hats, which really don't look the same. Finally hit up ebay, and found this...
Paco's has a front pinch and dents --- I've also seen Eddie Bauer hats with more of a gambler style (image attached)
Are these two different models, or just one model and people are bashing them in different ways?
Also, does anyone know when these were sold? Just from the hatband, it looks...
