Hunh.... I've not seen anything like that before.
Did the felt split along the stitching for the sweatband?
Or is this a two-piece construction bowler?
I've assumed (and maybe it's a bad assumption) that the "nick foquet" style hat fans are in their 20s & 30s who go clubbing. Nothing wrong with that, but that's not my crowd.
Then again... I'm not sure who IS my crowd in these pandemic-infused times, where I'm actively trying to NOT get stuck...
IANAL, but my understanding is that successful false advertising cases revolve around total $$$$ involved.
For one $35 hat? Heck, one $200 hat? Utterly pointless - maybe a half dozen people were misled by the text on the Stetson website.
Now, if the false advertising were about a 7-figure...
True, true. I'm more looking for info for myself: *I* don't want to destroy a rare 1930's hat!
Pretty sure that's not what I have here, but since I've never heard of this particular hatter, I was wondering if anyone else had.
Does anyone know anything about Breyer hats of Chicago?
I bought this deep navy blue hat off the bay a few weeks back, planning on remaking as a pork pie for my brother, with a contrasting ribbon.
It’s rather gaudy In its current configuration with a gold buckle (ugh), so I’m guessing it’s...
Here’s my johhnyphi Schoble, bought right here on the Lounge, umm… 14 years ago? Has it really been that long?
I don’t wear it often, yes… because I have too many (*) hats, but also because I truly love keeping it near mint:
(*) can we really have too many?
Edit: size is 7 1/8
John - I wonder if the hat size itself matters? Looking at Noah, he wears it really high - look how far up from his ear it resides. As such the "square" is actually pretty small.
Yeah, monitors are funny... as are auto-white balanced photographs ;-)
I'm mostly taking cues from the hat band and desk, which are clearly brown, and makes the felt look more gray/green.
