A tad is a bit more than a smidgen. I'm just pre-decimal so use both - celsius at the cold end and fahrenheit at the top :) I prefer miles to kilometers and use both inches and cm depending on what I'm measuring ;)

Great greenie Mike.
David - nice cap!
Charlie - That's a great looking VS. I lost most of my bonsai collection one summer a few years back from a forgetful babysitter. It took me a few years before I took it up again.
Andy - looks perfect for your weather.
Perry - that felt looks gorgeous.
Sam - that CRM is a...
Ribbon width is very much personal preference. Personally I'd go with 1 1/2" to 1 7/8" on a Fed.
Vintage hat makers ribbon is much nicer than the modern stuff and can be picked up on Etsy by the yard.
Have a search of the forum or try these threads...
Those I've handled have been squarish with fairly narrow brims, on both the Locks and Christys. Christy's also do the Devon Bowler, which is rounder, but the standard is squarish.
Lock may have used a different manufacturer 20 yrs back though...
The one's I handled a couple of year's back were identical. It might just be camera angle.

Supposedly the Lock bowlers have slightly better ribbons, but they looked identical to me.
Thanks all for the comments on the Akubra Homburg.
Alan - your Acer is in leaf very early!
Harv - the McAndrew looks great on you.
Terry - nice job on the conversion.
Joao - glad it found a good home.
My feeling is start them at the lowest price you're prepared to sell for. Some argue a reserve price and starting lower attracts more interest, but I think it often puts people off (it puts me off at least!).
David - sweet little black number :)
Perry - very nice colour
Charlie - great looking thin ribbon, and you wear the wider brims as well as the stingies.
Miami - I don't recall seeing that one before - sweet longhair
Sam - that CRM is beautiful.
Alan - very nice Homburg. Is the Acer trained...
I don't know about the top hats, but Christy's make Lock & co branded Bowlers for Lock & co...
The Royal warrant just means someone in the Royal household buys from them - it's not worth anything other than as a marketing tool.
