Sorry ladies!:offtopic: Thanks Katie! You have a great eye, since this set was inspired by vintage fashion mags of the 40s and 50s.

    Curling irons

The majority of hairstyles that I've produced for photography have been done as a curling iron/hot roller set. I highly recommend using a heat activated curl setting spray. I follow the same pattern as a wet set. Here's an example that I did using hot rollers:

    Trouser gals

A good point! Your body type has a lot to do with the fit. I'm the opposite of BeBopBaby. Very short torso,so they hang closer to a 3-4 inch difference if sitting on my natural waist. To get the crotch in the right area without aid of a tailor I would have to pull them just under my bustline.

    Trouser gals

I've had a few original pairs over the years. The crotch area has been much lower on every pair. Sounds correct to me. I did have a tailor take them up a bit in that area, because I didn't care to be that period correct. In other words,go with with your preference.

How many dresses can 1 gal own?

Ladies- I'm glad I'm not alone. Since having my kiddo the majority of my collection no longer fits. I weigh less, but everything's shifted. Perfect excuse to refurbish. So I'm collecting new vintage inspired dresses and hope to pair them with vintage hats, gloves, and jewellry. KittyT-I'll have...

How many dresses can 1 gal own?

I think I have Spring fever. The dresses are just calling my name this year. I've never had luck with vintage daywear,so I normally stick with a skirt/sweater combo. However,I'm seeing alot of retail these last few years that are really turning the vintage inspiration up on dresses...

    Show Us Your Purchases!

Questions answered for Imoldfashioned... Both dresses are lined and the outer shells are 100% cotton. The fabric has a good weight to it. Light, but not flimsy. Perfect for Spring and Summer. The swiss dot(pink) fits a bit long in the torso(I'm very short-waisted),so it is probably designed...

Here's my recent buys: This one in white and the length sits more on my mid-calf. A bit low for work so I may add a hook and eye. This one is much cuter in person, not nearly as boxy on top and love the lavender gingham print.
